Hi all, I used to be active in numismatic photography but this last year with COVID and the forced lockdowns and uncertainty have led me away from the hobby but i'd like to get back.
The good news (or bad) is that I've gotten a bit more into family photography since there's very little to do in a lockdown, and have a few new pieces of hardware, but when I assembled them all again on my setup the results weren't as nice as they used to on my old setup, and I was wondering if you guys can help me fine tune it again please?
So I no longer own a crop-sensor camera, I now have a Canon R5 mirrorless, it's a full frame camera at 45MB. I also have the Canon RF 100mm Macro lens 1.4x magnification. Lights are floodlight incandescents and the stand is my old Smith Victor 42 inch.
I'm just curious how does a full sensor, mirrorless, 1.4x magnification impact the recommended setup for numismatic photography? also what are the ideal apertures for each coin size with this camera and lens .. any advise deeply appreciated!
