2007 rainbow abe, Is this considered a red or brown or does it have its own category.... because I want anything that's colored in this way! The colors are amazingly beautiful on this thing!

Also are these fairly common, and if so what years are most likely to produce these!!

Plus for future reference, would this coin be I. Good enough shape to get a grade of 60+ at least? Like how strict are they with the grades, hoping to one day send something off once I find it lol

The lines are called by rolling lines on the zinc stock on the stock material to make the surface on the zinc. When the blanks were cut and the blanks were turned into planchets, the setup processes created the Proto rims, and removed the issue on that area. Then the planchets are struck into cents an the rolling lines sometimes still appear even after the strikes:

The weakness of grease, doesn't remove the rolling lines.

Even Linear plating bubble follow these rolling lines:

When these coins loose the BU, look and start to brown, then you notice even more:

Just part of the metal that doesn't get removed after the strikes.

@mzee, to be sure there are some folks who pay extra for a nicely toned coin, but I think that these are mainly for silver coins. I'd be surprised if there was a premium on this coin from the toning.

No premium, but no shame in keeping what you like. The rainbows hues on the obverse are some form of environmental toning/exposure, separate from the rolling lines.
