1993D Lincoln Cent Error Varieties? Hi new here. I had posted a couple weeks ago with a coin ques. and now I have another coin error variety.
I inherited pails of coins and I have been trying to figure this whole coin hobby out! Lots of research involved and reading. I have a few I have been selling for fun and I came across this 1993D cent that looks like there are some errors. I am thinking it is identified as Off Centre?, Close AM and is there anything else I am missing here. Thanks for any help you can provide me with (:

Welll it is a tiny bit offcenter, but not enough to be of any increased value, As for the Close AM, your pictures don't show the AM portion, so I can't say anything about that.

Well the 1993 year is all Close AM's, even proofs. So that is normal. If there is gray showing on the reverse, the plating as removed on that area.

Can't determine with incomplete reverse photo...An off center error will effect both the obverse and reverse in the same manner. Right now, I can only say your cent is for sure a MAD (mis aligned die) strike error coin.

I agree with Greasyfingers.

I know you were asking about an error on your coin but there are not a lot of modern Denver varieties to look for either. Here is a link to a DDR variety I found in October of 2020. It has some thickness and notching mostly on the right side of the reverse.
Note the die chip on the column as a marker.
