Recently uncovered in a clearout. I have no background to the coin at all but would be fascinated to know a bit more about it

That is an interesting item for your first post.

I don't believe that it is a coin, but a medal of some sort. This means that it may not be in any catalogue.

However, many of our CCF members can translate the Cyrillic writing, so just wait a bit.

Based on the writing it is a token/medal related to Petar II Petrovic-Njegoš
You can search the web for similar ones.
The rest of the inscription says something like "let him do what he cannot"
Not sure what that means at all.

Thank you so much, everyone! Absolutely facinating and the mystery of how it came to me is solved - my Grandad was from Belgrave so this must have worked its way over to the UK with him from Yugoslavia.
