Agreed, looks genuine. Nothing stands out saying that it's a counterfeit. Of course you can check it with the scale and calipers to verify weight and dimensions.

Looks genuine but did you check the weight? Should be 6.25g

Just got my money back for it. Pretty good looking fake...oh well. I'm in the market for another Seated quarter haha

If it is 100% a fake then I would like to destroy it (because it is convincing). But not sure if the seller wants it back yet.

Not a series I am familiar with, but the weight seems to be consistent with cast contemporary counterfeits of the time. Rather than destroy it, you could see if they would be interested in having it donated here: http://www.seateddimevarieties.com/...sts/bogo.htm

Could you show us the edge? I have a feeling the edge was scraped sometime during the early 80s when spot was high.
