Thanks! I was pretty certain it was real but some people on reddit said it might be fake.

Agreed, looks genuine. Nothing stands out saying that it's a counterfeit. Of course you can check it with the scale and calipers to verify weight and dimensions.

Just got my money back for it. Pretty good looking fake...oh well. I'm in the market for another Seated quarter haha

I am glad you got your money back. Maybe it is damaged because somebody tried to destroy it with the wrong tools.

If it is 100% a fake then I would like to destroy it (because it is convincing). But not sure if the seller wants it back yet.

Not a series I am familiar with, but the weight seems to be consistent with cast contemporary counterfeits of the time. Rather than destroy it, you could see if they would be interested in having it donated here:

Could you show us the edge? I have a feeling the edge was scraped sometime during the early 80s when spot was high.

I added a couple pics of the edge. Also I'm not familiar with contemporary counterfeits! That is very interesting
