A bit of backstory on my motivation for this collection, I lost my Grandfather last fall and he left me some of his coins he had inherited from "ancestors". He had several British crown coins, some from George IV, one from Charles II, and a couple from Queen Victoria. I really loved the Saint George and the Dragon design from Pistrucci, and especially was taken by how it appears on the large Crown coins. I moved from the US in May to start a new job in England and decided to see if I could fill in the collection my Grandfather had left me. Thankfully there are not so many required for the later Victoria ones and no real rarities so it was fun and gratifying to be able to finish a short set of later Victorian crowns during my first few months here in England. I'm not so frequent of a poster on this forum but have truly learned so much over the past 7 years from everyone here. Some suggested doing a contest or whatnot for my 1000th post but I felt it more appropriate to reserve it for finishing a collection started by my Grandfather.

I see that you logically included the 1902, even though the ruler is different. I do like the crowns.

Nice group. Do you have the missing 3 - 1887 1890 and 1900 - or are you leaving those?

Thank you all for the kind words. PaddyB, good eye- those dates omitted in the photo are the ones I had received from my grandfather, and currently they are in a different country but I shall unite the set when I next have the chance.

That explains their absence! Of course, if you want an excuse to carry on expanding your collection, you could go for the alternate edges for those dated 1893 to 1900...
