I'm back! Having survived another summer field season there is an accumulation of things on my desk, and will post some of them as I get through them.

This coin was bought on ebay, fully and correctly attributed. But I've noticed that these have been going low lately so tossed in a bid and won it at just $16.31. It is a fairly decent stage-B example.

That is a very clear example. I have a couple and one can just barely be seen! Congrats!

Thanks folks! Glad to be back, although today did a 7-hour round trip drive to a site two states away. Always something to do, just not catching bats again until mid-September.

I find it odd how low this variety has been selling for, given that it's not just a fantastic RPM but also one of the few Red Book varieties.

Very nice pickup! I also think it's odd that a full red example of this variety can go so low. It's a dramatic variety and as you said, one of the few Red Book listed ones. Especially since they get extremely difficult to see in lower grade I find it odd that it doesn't go higher.

Great find. I'd pay that all day. Such a dramatic example. I'll have to start searching ebay for them.
