Most are pretty normal but two are a bit better. This one is a Wheat cent, which is rather more rare for this kind of error. I think split before the strike coins are more common, but I have a number of them split after the strike as well. I just always find it remarkable that this can happen to a coin blank or planchet in the first place. Report this Post to the Staff
