I came across this 2005 State Quarter and was needing some info on the man in the front of the boat. Is this mech. doubling or maybe a doubled die error? I've looked at several different photos of the man fishing up front an haven't been able to find anything that resembles what I have. Any feedback is much appreciated, thanks.

Looks like Machine Doubling. There are a lot of DDR's on this series, but they are in the trees most of the time.

Note on these the extra trees come up from the fields or up into the design. On your coin the MD creates an incuse mark on that area. The DDR's are raised, not an incuse mark.
