Hey!John1! To answer you question about which log? The large log top left where the first arrow is pointed. And Thanks!! I know I still have alot to learn. And I have been studying Wexler's, Newman's Numismatics,PGCS,and waiting on Cherry Picker's guide to be delivered. Like anything else it's a learning process but a fun one for sure. Coin Community is Awesome!! And I wanted to thank you and everyone else for their support in the community in aiding me and other's like me to try and learn the in's and out's about coins. Especially the Lincoln Cents. I'm hooked! Lol!

@Merclover. If you take time out to read my previous post I said that I sill have alot to learn. I'm quite sure you didn't learn everything about coins in a day or a short period of time. Even if I did think I knew everything its always something new to learn.Even you don't know everything. John1 ask me a question and I misunderstood what he said. Like I said I'm quite sure you didn't learn everything in one day or in a short period of time it's thousands of different coins out there and I'm quite sure you nor I have seen them all or know about everything about everyone of them. This was my first time looking at a Lincoln that wasn't a Memorial or a Wheat. And I did look for it on reference sites but it wasn't lack of homework it was trying to understand the assignment. I just misunderstood until John1 stated attribute.I thought he was asking me about which log was doubled. So like I said I have to know and learn where to look to learn. I never considered myself as a ARROGANT or know it all person even though I hold 2 degrees 1 is a master's. When I educate someone I don't throw a book at them and say do your homework. Ive been to coin shops and shows where they have they have had different options on errors, grades and price. Even PCGS and NGC disagree on coins and they do it alot but that doesn't mean they didn't do their homework.

@coop. Thanks for the photos. They really help wth this particular coin. This is my first time searching for errors on this coin and the series as a whole. I noticed that it contains your website address in which I didn't know about but I will be referring to it along with the others as I continue to try as learn as much as I can because I notice that you have some really informative material and your photos are very, very much helpful!! Thanks again!

I'm not sure it is a doubled die on the logs you pointed out. I think it is damage you see. If you look at the log end that you pointed out looks 'split' by the first arrow (the one farthest left and pointing NE), The second arrow slightly right of the above mentioned arrow (pointing NNE to the lower log) That log looks dented from a hit the cent took. Looking at the Wexler's site on doubled dies for this year coin does not match the WDDR-033 look at the web site: http://www.doubleddie.com/91301.htmlOn any of the pictures in Wexler's does not even show a split log at all. As for John1's second question he asked you.. Any plan to have a milestone contest? After all you passed 50 posts and graduated from a New Member to a Valued Member. edit to fix typo

I have went through the same things you are going through right now. Once you get a decent idea of what a doubled die is or what your think they should look like, you will pick apart anything and everything, trying to find one. I suggest looking for the more obvious ones and working your way out of that to more minor ones, as time goes on. It is easy to try and trick yourself into thinking you have a variety or error and not actually have anything at all, so just take your time, learn from others and the multitude of info, that is out there and have fun with it. If you cannot enjoy it, it's not worth doing. Just be patient.

This looks like damage. Note the affected areas are pressed inwards? Note the continuing lines on that area all that angle on the cabin.

@Dearborn Thanks!Yes. Thats why I was thanking everyone in the community in response to John1 in helping me to understand alot and for everyone's knowledge. Ive learned alot in my 50 posts.I still have a long way to go to learn but most of all it fun. I found this photo and this is where I have the problem distinguishing especially when its a coin that I haven't gotten use to yet. Because its alot of errors for this coin that's why I chose it to learn from it.
