Hi All, My wife (who is in Finance) dislikes this hobby of mine. She does however believe that commodities will skyrocket so she freely agrees to purchase bullion. I ran into an ad from Universal Coin & Bullion who offered the following for those ordering by phone 1-800-459-2646 the Verification Code: UNUMSCS0109 ends 1/26/2009. Product NGC MS-69 First Strike 2005 or 2006 for $20 each. This includes cost of shipping. Limit is 4 coins per person. I ordered 4, 2 of each. In spite of a "too good to be true", some horror stories I read about this company, and a disclaimer that shipping may take some time, I received the coins Priority mail after a week. As described with additional marketing info. I guess one can gamble and win !

No, simply called the number (it was an outsourced call center) took the order and that was it. I was as suspicious as it got when giving her the info, yet went smoothly.

are you sure you didn't sign up for a coins on approval thing like littelton coin does, where they will send you the "coin of the month" and you have to send it back if you don't want to keep it, if you do they will sell it to you at an inflated price?

I am certain. I asked the lady on the phone. I suggest asking when calling to make sure. Invoice states this is the one off deal.

I had seen this also and was wondering, but they take American Express which has great protection.
So what the heck, I'll be second into the pool

for $20 (including shipping) per coin I feel that it was a good deal. Credit card shows $80. No calls so far. If they come in I will hang up as I do with others :)

You can put your number on a no-call register here, any telemarketing company that calls you can be fined big time.

Most state no-call lists exempt companies that you have done business with- purchasing those coins would be considered "doing business", once you make that first purchase they can call as much as they want. However, getting yourself on a no-call list is a good thing that everyone should do(and cellphones too).
