I posted this coin last year thinking it was a struck through. Those photos weren't great. Seeing QuarterHoarder72's post about a 2019-D reminded me of this particular oddity. I still believe something is struck through here and there to be a plating issue of some sort.

I like it! I'm not sure if it's a strike through, but I do think something was wrong on the copper plating on the planchet.

It kind of looks like a meteorite deflected off of column 12 and landed in the shrubbery. I'd drive over to look for it, but it's a 400-mile round trip, and I'm sure someone has picked it up in the last 15 years.

Certainly looks like it could have been grease or oil that stuck to the blank before getting plated.

I can't imagine copper would bond very well to oil or grease.

Here is a link to a thread about the plating process and showing the tumblers (45 RPM) and terms that are used by the producer of the Lincoln planchets. The video is pretty neat to watch if you've never seen it before. It's mesmerizing.

Be sure to scroll down to the third post to get to the real the video.

Thanks CCF!!

Ha! Yokozuna, A piece of that meteorite is still stuck to column 12 if you look close. It is a more yellow looking chunk of material.
