I have saved my 100th post for something worthy of commenting on. No big deal about my post, it's just a number, but what is more important is your coin. As an enthusiastic Lincoln collector I love this DDO! One of the true early doubled dies in the LWC series. Very nice find!

Wow, a very solid example of this variety! Certainly very difficult to find but somehow you've managed to find many. Very nice!

Even though circulated the '9' is always the first thing I look for on this year. Then the curved '1'. Yours speaks volumes despite being circulated.

Thanks all!!! In the end the roll turned out like most 1917 rolls, over half went into the cull bag and in the end this DDO was actually the nicest coin in the roll. Guess luck was just on my side.

Usually when I find varieties, they are in pretty nice shape, maybe because they were cherrypicked awhile ago and then spent again?
