Second, those are both plating blisters where a small hole in the copper plating has left the zinc core exposed to the environment. Zinc can expand slightly as it deteriorates. Just curious, do you think the mark under/to the left of the zinc blister appears to be a number, or just leftover from the zinc blob? I think I have been staring at this too long!
