1968-S Proof Half Dollar - Distorted Letters

I don't see spread or split serifs, but the glare on a proof, still in the mint holder make it hard to see. However, the very thin lower loop of the "G" in "GOD" and the lower loop of the "R" in "TRUST" have me puzzled. It seems as if the letters go from wide to narrow then back again. Variety Vista has similar distortion in the "G" and "R" as markers of DDO-003. However, I'm not convinced it is a DDO.
