You have a completely normal Jefferson nickel. The lack of the star and weak bulging date is the result of a completely worn out die. I wouldn't even go so far as to say this is a partially Grease Filled Die. There are too many flow lines on the side of the coin where the date is which signifies a die that should have been retired before it struck this coin.
