@jtc, first welcome to CCF. Second, this coin has been grit blasted or something to give it that surface texture while it also has been bent. That is not a die crack/break but rather damage.

The coin is damaged. These are consider cull coins. More of just a Wheat cent now. Cleaned to death, bent and damaged.

Can't rule out exposure to acid. And yes, it's bent.
