 though it won't remove the corroded bits, that would be a call for Verdi-Care, which might take much of the green off.

I agree acetone wouldn't hurt, but it won't do anything with corrosion. I've never used Verdi-Care, I should look into that.

Verdi-Care is out of stock and BadThad isn't making any more as of this moment. Last bottle I saw on ebay was used slightly and brought $100.00 it originally cost $16 shipped IIFC. So unless you don't already have some or know of someone that will give you a few drops it's not looking good on the Verdi-Care front. There are some other conservation solutions like CARE but I haven't tried them myself, I have enough Verdi-Care to last me another couple of decades I think.

Verdi-Care will definitely make a difference, but the color of the surfaces beneath the removed verdigris may not match well with the surrounding areas.
