My father in law left me this and a bunch of other pennies After a quick scan this one jumped out at me. Did a little research...mostly from this site...thanks. I figured I should share a few pictures and you guys can let me know what you think.

Yes nice reverse but the gash on head keeps it as a hole filler .

Exactly. Almost devilish. Still a shame though. But for a laxed collector like me it's a nice piece of history to own.

F12, that gash has been there for decades, it's toned the same as the rest. It's a nice, original coin. DO NOT CLEAN IT!

I won't clean it. But thank you for looking out. I like my coins dirty. My favorite coin is an ASE my daughters bought me for Father's day a few years back. It's been in my wallet for over 4 years.
