1798 $1 Draped Bust Dollar Reverse Lettering Error?

numismatic student Bedrock of the Community United States 11880 Posts	Posted 10/03/2021 5:45 pm I purchased this coin today in an ANACS holder graded XF45 and noticed that one of the letters (F on OF) in the reverse legend had an odd extension. Would any of you error coin experts explain how this could have been occurred? I also ran the coin through the earlydollars.org wizard for attribution and could not find the reverse with this odd F in the reverse. Any thoughts on finding this reverse die? Here's one with several cracks intersecting near the F so it could be similar to that too I guess.
