Well, it's been a long time coming, but tonight I finally filled the only remaining hole in my 144-piece silver classic commemorative set - a 1952-D Washington-Carver, PCGS MS66. This one has been a tough one to find in this grade with good eye-appeal and at a reasonable price - many of the decent ones I've run across the past couple years have been really overpriced, sometimes even well-above the PCGS price guide. I got this one for under CDN greysheet at auction, so was pretty happy about that. Now I can concentrate on a few upgrades .

Congratulations! The whole 144 coin set to boot! Incredible work. Upgrades are always a goal but even managing to complete the 144 set is something to be very proud of

Impressive!! Congratulations on a massively difficult accomplishment. How long did it take to assempble the entire set?
And I agree, we need some eye candy here!

Thank you, everyone! This 144 piece set, plus the two Norse American medals, took me almost 8 years to complete. Soon after my first acquisition, I thought I'd work on the 50-piece type set, but after a couple years I decided expand to the full set. I also have all the gold classic commemoratives except for the two $50 Panama-Pacific issues (those will have to wait until I win the lottery ). I'll pick out a few of my favorites and post before too long. Thanks again!

Congratulations!!!!! You should be VERY proud of this difficult accomplishment. I'm sure you took eight years to make sure each coin was how you liked the eye appeal, in the grade you wanted, and at a fair price! That's what the love of coins is all about!!!!
So what's next?

Thanks, Steve! I'm not likely to branch out into anything new at this time, but will probably start focusing more time and energy back on my US type coin collection. However, I'm already looking at which of my classic commemoratives (mostly older purchases) that I want to upgrade, so the fun will continue there to a degree!
