Yesterday, I attended the Milwaukee Numismatic Society's coin show at a hotel in Brookfield, WI. It was a smaller show with four rows of tables, not all of them filled. However, I don't ever recall attending a show that was so crowded. The place was packed. There was one moment when I had to wait several minutes for the slow moving crowds of people to move by me so I could squeeze into the aisle and move to the next table. It was a hectic scene but a good one for our hobby with all those interested collectors milling around the room. Paul Bulgerin

Hello, panic attack! Yeah, that is just me, I hate being crowded. Our local show is in a huge convention hall and a lot more spread out. But I am glad you had a decent show to attend!

Hope you had an enjoyable time and picked-up some good deals
Looks like the aisles weren't wide enough to accommodate seating let alone traffic to those strolling by. That wouldn't have flied here in California.

It was a good show primarily for collectors of U.S. coins, but if you dug around, there were a few ancients and foreign pieces worth a look along with some nice paper money.

I agree. The vast majority of coins offered were U.S. I saw three dealers who had a tray of ancients. I did come away with a very nice Isabella Quarter.

It was nice to see a number of parents there with young children as well as more than a handful of teenagers. One dealer gave a friendly greeting to two teenage boys and thanked them for coming to the show.
It took me back to the days when I'd take my two little girls to local coin shows and give them each five dollars to spend. I was always amazed how many free goodies they received from the dealers. One of the perks of having cute, young daughters.
This from their dad who is now 65. They are 35 and 30.

Quote: Fun times we have been missing. Which was probably the turnout was so good, they all had a pent up desire to go to a show after they were all cancelled for so long.

I used to go to 3 or more coin shows a Month but now not even one in a long time.
