Hello fellow members. I have a 1992D penny that is loaded with dimples or pimples as it may be.. What causes that to happen?

I'm not sure what you mean by dimples and pimples, it could be many things but dimples sounds like corrosion on a coin. We would need pictures to help you, a clear shot of the front and back(obverse and reverse)

It is very common and adds no value to the coin.

On some of them you can see the gray in the centers of the bubble. Those are split plating. Zinc rot is setting in on these areas.

with everybody else, but just out of curiosity, can you tell if this is the scarce Close AM of America on the reverse, or is it the more common Wide AM?
