to CCF. Definitely a weird looking mm but it does appear to be a die chip. Looks like a small portion of the die, right there inside the upper loop of the S mm, has chipped off. At first glance I thought to myself "inverted mint mark" but I'm not familiar with this happening on a 1969 Lincoln. Pretty neat find.

Edit: I did go back and study the known inverted mm which according to Wexler's happened on the 1946 Lincoln. I compared the type-008 mm, which is what yours is listed as on the Lincoln Cent resource site, and yours is consistent and correctly oriented. Just FYI.

I was thinking that the s looked upside down, that you for that information.
I will try to get a larger picture,my scope isn't that great so I only get partial pictures.

A second point about your coin. Note the edge of the bust is weakened, and the bottom of the mintmark is also weakened. So before the polishing, the bottom of the mintmark may have been the same size as the top?
