So I got this 1965 Kennedy half dollar I don't see any copper on the side of it and it's also shinier than the others but I know that the mint stop making 90% silver on the business strike coins after 64 It can be fake. and it only weighs 11.5 like if it's only 40% silver. can you guys give me
some insight thank you CCF

That is a 40% silver coin,that is why you do not see copper on the edge.

There is usually just a slight hint of color:
1965-Kenndy-Half-Dollar-Real-Or-Fake?
But that is a normal one.

Oh okau so the ones that dont have copper on them between 65-71 are silver thanks john I thought all the half dollars between 65 -72 were silver

1965-66-67-68-69-70 are 40% silver. Sometimes, but not always you might see a little copper layer on the 40% silver halves.
