I think this is an RPD but am not 100% convinced. The attribution on this one should be a piece of cake since the only other variety is a large O, which this coin is not.

When physically in hand the second close-up with higher sharpeness better displays the curvature of the line off of the seemingly vertical line. This somewhat vertical line appears NOT to pass over the horizontal device separating the two loops of the 8.

The 1 and the 8 look odd and I wanted to ensure that I was looking at the RPD variety. Does everyone agree that it is the RPD listed in CoinFacts and/or VarietyPlus?

Also, that vertical line in the eight bothers me somewhat. It's vertical nature makes me think that it is PMD since it lacks any curvature. However, the fact that it does not uniformly appear over the top of that device raises more questions about its origin. Can anyone opine on this concern as well?

I just don't know, yet, if it is worth attributing by the TPG.

Almost ten days w/o a response...

Is there anyone out there willing to make an educated guess?

I know nothing of Seated quarter varieties. I will say if you can't find an attribution, then it may not be an overdate. It doesn't look like a clear overdate to me.
Suffering from bust half fever.

Here are the date area and the FS-501 reverse mintmarks:

On your coin it looks like a field alteration on that area. The closest guess, could be a die scrape or a feeder finger damaged area affected. On the 1944 cents there were a lot of them that had this issue, vertically on the upper part of the design:
1843-O-25c---Variety-Check-Needed
But that is just a guess, as there are two lines affecting the fields on these. So I feel it is a die gouge. on that area. Note how it flows behind the devices. So it was deeper than the fields on that area. Thus it's appearance on that area of you coin. Not a big thing, but if you are like me, I always try to determine what it is.
