Hello Chuckster. I believe these are two different coins, both large date Denvers. Notice the mm positioning on each coin. They are in completely different locations so not the same coin IMHO.

They were originally the same coin but the OP has updated his photos
to show two different coins. Note the update under his pictures.

How is the easiest way to tell they are large dates? Both coins weigh 3.1gm

@merclover Thank you that's the best side by size example I've seen. Just started getting into coin collecting and have been reading a few books so far. focusing on pennies currently since I thought that would be a great place to start. And thank you to the coin community family, everyone has been nice and helpful
