2000-P Maryland Quarter Planchet Error?

It's not really gold, more pink and greenish with an iridescent rainbow sheen to it. I read up on the 99 experimental planchet errors and tried Coop's "put it in your pocket for a week" test... it still has the same weird color, the high spots are more goldish. Weight is normal at 5.68g (vs. 5.60g for the comp coin). What is this? Thanks again for looking! the top coin is the one in question, bottom is the comp. Report this Post to the Staff

coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 10/20/2021 1:19 pm It may have spent a partial part of its life in a fountain at the mall or spent some time homeless. But these are events that changed this coins life. So it back in to circulation and should just be spent. It is not a plus for the coin. Just a spender. Report this Post to the Staff
