Greasy , that is a terrible loss . You never said if the person who stole you coins took anything else from you besides coins . If not then I agree with jbucks comment : '' but I count three suspects here. ''

How discouraging, but a reminder to us all to be on the alert.

Not good. Five years ago I walked in on a home burglary in-progress. One, somewhat disoriented guy. Very, very tense for the first few minutes. He had been loading a small piece of carry-on luggage with my 2x2 collection. Hadn't made it to other items in my stash, or other items in the house. I managed to talk the guy out of the house, with his haul left in the entry way. He was armed with a knife and flashed it a few times, then put it away. No video. I moved a couple months later.
Hope you get some resolution, and soon.

Jbuck... ...no signs of forced entry... Landlord was no help... a co-worker... your gf..." Landlord..Owns several properties in the So. Cal, I believe if I was Korean he'd bend over backwards to help. Let me say I love all people but they are a close knitted community. Although he has sent in some workers for repairs while I was home and I tried to cover or remove all coin related material from view.... gf... ...we have been together (haply) for over 10 years, I take good care of her and her family, plus she could care less. co-workers....high % there, my gf would leave her keys in her desk during the work day and many times gets called away. We have had a long talk about that. One other note...Cheap locks on the door...The locksmith that I use at work came over and picked both in less than 5 minutes, then installed one of the best deadbolts one can buy..And with all the videos on uTube... @ T-BOP...yes a few other gun related items (but no firearms) and I do have a ceramic blue horse that was given to me by my grandmother and held by my parents until I became responsible. I have it stored in the linen closet wrapped between a stack of towels, haven't built up the nerve yet to check on it. I've stated in past posts, that I started this hobby after I hit a slot machine jackpot in Vegas @ 2015 (aside from saving my change from childhood to now) and just looking back at my records most raw OGP ASEs were bought @ 25 to 40 $ and most PMs just @ 10 to 15% above melt...when do you guys think gold will fall below $1,200/oz and silver @ 15..... Hardest things to deal with is the emotional joy of collecting, some days I have it some days I don't and the not knowing feeling of what else did they do while in here (did they drink straight from the milk jug or use the restroom? @ John1 a little late but wi-fi cameras and ring doorbell are soon to be in place... Thanks guys for listening....I mean reading...Love the CC family and this forum....

GF...I am so sorry. Jeez, I don't know what I would do if I was in your position.
I pray that whatever was stolen shows up in its entirety. I know there really isn't anything I can say that'll make you feel better but...well, we're here for ya

These stories are always heartbreaking, more then just items were stolen as you spend years and years and countless hours building and saving and it feels like such an accomplishment, it's like stealing great memories from someone. I truly hope these thieves are caught and your coins returned.

Quote: Although he has sent in some workers for repairs while I was home He could have also sent them in while you were gone. I would not exonerate him, his staff, or any other authorized service contractors just yet. Most definitely should be looked into by the detectives. Quote: we have been together (haply) for over 10 years Ever heard of the long con? I kid. I hope I kid. But I am sure you know her well enough... just raise an eyebrow if her wardrobe suddenly gets some serious upgrades. She should raise an eyebrow if any of them act like they have more money than usual. Locks only serve to keep honest people honest. You need a security system with cameras (with an S). There are many options for those who lease/rent and are not allowed to permanently install anything. Whenever I see this bump I hope I'm going to open the link and see some good news. I don't know what to say. The fact that the landlord is so ambivalent causes me to raise an eyebrow but what do I know. I hope the detectives are following possible leads and not just sitting on your case. Are there pawn shops in the area that you could stop at and inquire about recent purchases? I could picture myself stopping at every pawn shop within a fifty mile radius every couple of days. I've never dealt with one before. . . Are they usually cooperative if you give them a list of what to look out for?

Jbuck..I hear you...I'm thinking Landlords handymen coming in when I'm out. Reason for not showing any videos. That's why I'm asking people in Southern Cal to keep their eyes open for me. Still haven't looked under the towels. Spoke with desk officer, wow I get the feeling they don't care. @chefemasterj...stopping by the coin shops in my area (and I'm a frequent customer of) they know to look out for the mags and aware of my missing collection. Pawn shops I only know of 2 and nothing yet.... but I'll keep
