The one on the left is Type 1
The one on the Right is Type 2

You can instantly tell them apart.

Expanding on buddto's response, there are the following:

Bullion: Type 1 & 2 (W)
Bullion: Type 1 (P) & (S) [slabbed]
W Proof: Type 1 & 2 [21EA & 21EAN]
S Proof: Type 2 [21EMN]
Burnished: Type 2 [21EGN]
Reverse Proof: Type 1 - W & Type 2 - S [21XJ]

no mint marks on the bullion coins.

I was able to get 2 of each ASE this year.

This is helpful information, and I even have these from my orders! There's a total of four different Type2 ASEs to have in the collection thus far, correct? I'm starting sets for each of my kids.

I think the part that can make you think twice is these sets like the silver proof set that just came out, which although a different product it's got the same ASE from earlier. And then the Happy Birthday/congrats sets early next year may also make me have to think for a moment. But I know that the ASE will be offered separately.
