CoinHI Pillar of the Community United States 2731 Posts	Posted 10/31/2021 12:56 am I posted what I believe is an earlier version of this "Detail-Erasing Die Wear" a couple days ago (EDS). This coin looks to be a little further along in deterioration. The pitted, brain coral pattern has become more pervasive. The surface of these deformed dies seem to be unusually malleable. I use to maintain marine reef tanks and raise different types of coral. When I see this pattern it instantly reminds me of brain coral. They are amazing looking animals.
