A Shield Nickel In Bulk Coins. - Coin Community Forum

David Graham Pillar of the Community Australia 1610 Posts	Posted 11/02/2021 03:11 am I posted a while back a very worn 1868 Shield nickel that I found in a bunch of mixed world coins. I find very few older coins in the bulk mixes and even less from the Land of Liberty so I always get excited when I find an older US coin. The other day I pulled an 1867 Shield nickel in rather good nick for it's age so thought I would post it. I guess you guys and gals in the states find these in your boxes of Cheerios but for us Aussies, it's a rare beast. Report this Post to the Staff

David Graham Pillar of the Community Australia 1610 Posts	Posted 11/02/2021 06:26 am Hi Spence, the one I noodled nearly a year ago was 1868. This one (pictured) I noodled a few days ago. It's 1867 (earlier date) and in better condition than the 1868. Report this Post to the Staff
