Hello and Good Evening!

I have an 1832 large cent, looks to be EF40 and Newcomb 3; wondering about the Reverse, looks like large letters over small letters. I've never seen this before. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Steve

@sh5, I'm seeing a nice die crack on the rev, but no letters that were engraved twice on the die. Which letters specifically are you seeing this with this phenomenon? Thx.

The R in America is most prominent, but also the A and E in America. I see it in zoom on most letters.

Am I chasing shadows? The R has a small R behind it?

This is an 1832 N1b; 2nd most common variety of 1832.
