Guessing this is damage from a plating bubble.

Split plating with the mint mark--exposed the zinc core, which is now rotting. Not terribly uncommon with zinc core Lincoln cents from the 80s, well into the 90s.

Thank you for the responses. I just can't find anything like this online and it's just on d mint mark has it like die chips around it and other surfaces was just lile dirt or carbon spots so looking for info
