This one just came out of a wheat bag. It remains one of the easiest to miss majors, as the eye is straight east and just looks like a longer eye in many ways. The doubling beside the first T of TRUST is also pretty obscure. On a high grade early die stage this one pops, but otherwise it's just hard to see.

Congrats on a difficult variety.

Those "due east" doubled eyes are the hardest for me to differentiate as well. Well done.

I feel this is the correct die number. The die wear has affected the eye more. But note the width of the DDO is there, just weakened because of the later die state. Note the mark is on the first 'T' on TRUST on bats image.

Very cool! The 1942 DDO's are always neat to find. My favorite point of doubling on this variety is on GOD. There is a nice spread there and it shows pretty well even in circulated coins.

Thanks all! It is a nice variety, just tough to spot for a major. If it weren't for the eye I think I'd miss 'em on coins like this, a circulated later die stage with some bit of crud around the devices.

Great eye (wink) to find that one. Good to be on the look out for that one in circulated condition.
