I've had this dime for some time probably mid-90s and I just ran across it again so I'm just going to put myself out there and say is it possible this is an error coin. Curious to hear your opinion or your comments

"Possible this is an error coin". No it is impossible it is an error coin.
There is no way that could happen during the striking of the coin.

The 'X's look like someone took a chisel to it, the smaller marks made from diagonal cutters (wire cutters)
