Was in the bank in dundas today and an older woman overheard me talking about collecting coins to leave to my son and she walked over and gave me 18$ for free in old bills she was bringing in. I offered to pay for them but she insisted I have them. There all in rough shape other then a couple that are a little better but for free it was a really nice gift. Haven't bothered to check serial numbers due to the shape and dosnt look like any devil face bills but I'm not great at identifying them.

Nice gift even though they are probably all face value. I see only one that could be a Devils Face and it is not one. A nice addition for your boys coin collection.

Often it's the little things which make the biggest difference.

I think other then the older 2$ bill I'm going to use these to pay for things randomly or tip. Always fun seeing the reaction of a young person when you give them something like a 1$ bill:)

The $1 and $2 notes are no longer legal tender so you may have a tough time spending them randomly.

The banks will take the 1-2$ bills though. So as a random tip or a gift to a co worker etc is still fun:p I forgot they are no longer legal for spending, just the bank will take them. I'm sure some stores would take them from me anyways as long as it's one of the ones I frequent.

I miss using the bills of the 60s and early 70s. Being in the US but close to the border it was always fun to see and use those colorful bills. I miss the currency and coins of those days being the norm.

@silverwolf, you are correct. Who knows they may be worth something when I'm gone. It would be ungrateful to part with them:) I put them away with my other bills.
