Alright folks, I have a 1904-O Morgan graded by ICG Guess the grade...     You realize when you know how to think, it empowers you far beyond those who know only what to think.

ICG MS65 but looks like a 64

Obverse looks gem but I think I see some large hits under the wings through the toning. It could be 63 or 64. Hard to tell through the toning and the enlarged pictures look blurry.

Older pre Florida ICG I'd say MS64 new ICG MS65.

Agree with the others. I grade it at 64 but can see it in a 65 ICG holder.

I think a 63 but I think ICG gave it a 64.

reverse is a little weak. obverse probably comes in at MS65. reverse MS63. net MS64

Obverse is very pretty -- I could easily see it at MS 65.
Reverse not so much. Whether it's the photo or the coin I can't say, but the eagle lacks enough visible detail to warrant any MS grade.
If what I see is what's there, I suppose someone with more experience than I have could say there's no wear at all, and that the shallow details on the reverse are due to a soft strike.
In that case, I think the bigger grading houses would call it MS 63. ICG is sometimes a little inflationary, in my view, so maybe MS64?
If I'm right that's there's wear on the reverse, AU58.

PCGS, NGC, or ANACS MS-64. ICG MS-65. Or basement slabber MS-69  The obverse is really nice. The reverse does have some contact marks, and the reverse toning is a bit distracting. The question is whether this obverse can pull the overall grade up a full step. On a scarce date, maybe. The silver rush bags of 1904-O dollars produced some spectacular coins, though. IMHO, this one is a solid MS-64, but can't make the hurdle to MS-65. EDIT: On further review, the obverse may pull this one up to MS-64+. I still can't see MS-65 from the Big Three.

I got it then, it's also a new Florida holdered coin, not the older Englewood, CO coin. They were a little tighter and tougher to please in the earlier days of the company, when JP Martin was the head grader. My old high school friend started that company after working for PCGS and as a wholesale dealer for many years.
