1949-S Lincoln Wheat Cent (Lamination/De-Lamination?)

Sarge50 Pillar of the Community United States 768 Posts	Posted 11/28/2021 8:38 pm I soaked this in acetone for a full day and it still has the "green" around the edge of the what I think is lamination? The rest of the coin is a browny except for that area! Report this Post to the Staff

-makecents- Pillar of the Community United States 8787 Posts	Posted 11/28/2021 8:41 pm I would say it was glued to something at some point and even if you got the glue off, it has a different color than the rest of the coin in that area. The glue protected the copper from toning so it is nice and shiny while the remains parts of the coin have toned.
