Found this quarter in my change today, off color on obverse and reverse, feels almost completely flat and the edge is smooth. Can someone tell me if I found something?

Sorry but you have found a normal, worn and damaged Quarter. Looks like it has spent some time in a clothes dryer which flattened the edge of the coin and eliminated the reeding. This is a damaged coin but still worth .25 cents.

Aye, appears to be an early stage Dryer Coin.

Before the damage, the die that struck this coin was showing very heavy DDD. Thus the distortion of the devices on the coin. Nothing special about this coin as for premium. just a spender
