I know I used a scope for the pics and they are pixelated, but I'm fairly certain there is enough detail to distinguish for someone knowledgeable on the subject. Also, @yor can you please add the date and denomination of this coin to your title? Thx. Then you would see a direction if Machine Doubling. But if all the outer devices are showing the same movement towards the rim direction, then it is DDD. Either way it is not a premium/variety for the coin. Move on to the next coin. Report this Post to the Staff

Yorick Valued Member United States 62 Posts	Posted 11/30/2021 7:35 pm For anyone willing to indulge me further as I try to learn this, there are photos and thoughts. The phone camera pictures are not that great as there is near no daylight by time I am home from work right now and still dark when I leave in the morning. The pictures of the microscope screen are certainly less than ideal, I know this but it is the best I can manage to show what I am seeing and I think that there is enough detail to see that. So, without further rambling... These next pictures are from the scope, I am willing accept MD on what I see here as things look like they may have "slid" as well I can see how the main devices look smaller than normal. It is in the following pictures, also from the scope where I'm confused. I can see a full splitting of the serifs as well as the main devices appear further north to me compared to the date and motto which appear shifted to the west for the motto and east for the date.
