1963 penny with nothing on the back. Not sure if it's a mint error

@dg, first welcome to CCF. Second, rather than use the poll functionality for this type of question, it is better to just ask your question and let us answer. My opinion is that this cent was struck more or less normally by the mint and is now severely damaged. It would not be worth it to get graded.

Agree. Appears to be post-strike damage. I've seen a few of these--various eras of cents--over many years. A large and sharp image of the coin's obverse might be interesting to see.

It's not a mint error but you should get graded as a lesson that not everything is a mint error.

Always show complete photos of both sides of the coin when making inquires.
From what I can see from a small portion of your coin, it looks like it has been ground down.
Lack of a rim indicates that. PMD
If you gou it graded, it would cost you about $50.00 for a coin worth 1 cent

No, not worth having it graded. The final value would be less than you paid for the grading service.

Definitely not worth anyone's time to grade an intentionally damaged/ground down coin. You will gain nothing in value on this coin and you will lose out on $50.00+ just to have it graded.
