with John1, but based on the picture given, I can safely conclude this is post mint damage by someone trying to put a hole into this coin.

If you crop your pictures to the edge of the coin, you may be able to have a larger image to post up.
Plus a comment on your coin would be nice too.
However, that hole in it was not done at the mint so we call it PMD.

I agree with John1. Speaking only for myself, given the photos posted, I cannot tell with any certainty what may be happening with the coin.
