To the CCF Please point out where you see the extra column. All I see is what appears to be a Die Crack.

If you are talking about the fourth collum on the right side with the collum behind it, I believe that is just part of the design.

to the Community! Have you compared it with another 21-D nickel?

Welcome to CCF. Looks like a die chip to me.

it is definitely not the design.. it may be a straight die chip but it is not just the design I'm trying to determine what it is

If it is incuse, it is a coin hit. If it is raised, then it could be a chip on the coin. (but I doubt this is the case)

When someone says extra collum must will look at the main collums(the ones holding the roof) after your latest photos I agree incuse means damage raised would make it a die chip. I'm on the die chip side. Also your photos are really good IMO.

it looks raised to me, I'm thinking a die gouge (only because it is so perfectly straight.)

thanks for the welcomes and it is raised but I worded it wrong when I said extra column but it almost looks like it was made until I compared it to several other 2021 D nickels and noticed it was not made that way.
