Hi I'm new to this site and coin collecting. I'm From Alabama and anyone that has experience with this please feel free to say. I'm interested in starting but don't know how or what to do. This site is a bit confusing also. Anyone with tips please share. I have a 1973 penny no mint mark with the large initials. I have a few coins but I will share what I have when I figure the site out.

. no mint mark means it was minted in Philadelphia and the large FG is normal for that year.

The site is fairly easy once you figure it out.
Please supply clear photos of both sides of the coin when making inquires.

Would love to see a picture of your coin.
AS for your question, a good start to collecting coins is to start small and go slow, starting with Lincoln Cents. (that is what I did when I started way back in 1972...)
