I'm at at least F12 due to colour but there seems to bee a good amount of detail. I could be way off in grade here as it seems VF+ but the toning is messing me up. What do you think?

I know silver can tone unattractively but it depends on the person, some don't mind a coin like this, some may totally dislike this coins toning . I put this dime grade wise at VF-20ish because of the reverse crown and overall appearance of Victoria. Wow the frog posted and I agree at the same time.

I'll take some better pictures when I have a chance. The background kind of makes the pics worse as well lol.

@Pacificoin - what is that crud on the surface? It does not look like standard oxidation.....

When you say details do you mean cleaned?
Edit: I'm not sure about the black either, doubt it's a fixable issue though. Haven't tried acetone or anything on the coin yet as it just arrived.
Also does anyone know if there is two varieties for this year? My Charlton has a skinny and fat 1 pictured but nothing in the price guide about it being a separate variety.

I'm scared of the scratch that separates 19 and 00. I would rate it as VF details.

So the last photos were taken with a background that just kind of blended into the coin with a desk lamp directly over top of it, here is just natural lighting photos. The scratch is barely visible without a bright angled light hitting it. Edit:even if no price difference they usually list the different varieties in the pricing graph. This one is not listed in the graph it self as a variety.

So are we still at VF15 ish? I wouldn't normally buy a coin like this but it had good detail and I bid last second and happened to win it for under 20$ including shipping. I also normally don't go for 10¢ coins but the price seemed decent. I have no idea if verdicare or acetone would make any difference to the coins appearance, the layer of black does seem to be on top of the coin rather then just toning as I can see thicker spots on the obverse. Any recommendations?

In total this one cost me $19.06, I'm not sure how much value would be effected by the colour, or if there is any way to improve the coins colour.
