Been getting back into coin collecting recently and found these where I keep my spare change. I originally thought they could be DDOs but after looking at Variety Vista I believe they are RPM-002 and RPM-009. Is this correct? I had no idea there were so many varieties.

@justin, it is a little hard to tell from these pics, but I'm not seeing split serifs on these letter Ds. Maybe these are just well-placed damage instead? Better close-up pics would help.

That is what I thought, Spence, the first coin displays a ding on the D. The second looks like MD, But I would like to see better, closer pics to be certain.

I feel it is true that the 60-D cents have a huge number of rpms, so it is likely that one of these carries a type of rpm. Your top coin is a small date, and your bottom coin is large date. Varietyvista.com is an excellent go-to site for all things variety.

But this is not a RPM. It is a dinged mintmark. Just coin damage from circulation. You could have a coin damaged variety coin, but the hit would reduce the value for the coin:

The hit would reduce the value of this coin. (note the hit on the mintmark?)
