Found this in change jar and very strange looked it up seems maybe die cap error? Any ideas it looks modern and it's obviously a nickel just wondering if it could be worth anything?

Lack of rims scream damage, from iot's appearance, it looks grinded down and would then be post mint damage.

Post-strike damage, most likely of a mechanical nature. If only coins could talk...

Damaged coin. When you see the crimps on the edges of the coin, it was squeezed flat after the strike.
