Curious to what y'all would grade this as. Mint state?

FS-512, just makes MS65. Light scuffs in the obverse fields and later die state bring down the eye appeal IMO.

I'll say MS-64.

Pretty banged up. I was gonna say 63 but the reverse carries it to an MS-64

Ty2020b nailed it as per PCGS, seemed over graded myself, but I'm not as professional as y'all.
Trying to figure out my own grading on my D/S 1938, however I got more work to do. Lol

Try to reveal the grade 24-48 hours after initial post to allow everyone enough time to give their opinion.
Suffering from bust half fever.

IMO, not an attractive example. Die Deterioration hurts this one, in eye appeal, and in leaving some high point planchet marks visible. Very frosty luster, so all those smaller marks probably look more pronounced than they are. I should have said BARELY makes 65 instead of "just makes".

Would be a pass for me. Plenty better looking examples out there.

this die issue is pretty prevalent on these. barring the die issues which I dont think the TPG would consider as that came from the mint I had this one at MS64. I cant see how they got to 65 on this on with all the hits on both sides. I definitely would not pay 65 $$ for it
