I am going with possible finning rolled over from coin wrapping on obverse. Reverse appears to be late die stage.

The bottom image is a 1975-S proof nickel. Not the same as a 1975-D business strike nickel. The proof nickels are struck twice and have more detain to them from the extra strike. Also the proof dies only strike 3000 coins, (6000 Strikes) So less die wear happens on these dies. The business strike coins can strike 800K-one million coins. (depending on how they hold up. Less if a die event shortens the strike numbers)
